Duration: 3h 25m | Video: AVC (.flv) 960x600 30fps | Audio: AAC 48KHz stereo | 740 Mb
Level: Intermediate | Language: English
Genre: eLearning

modo has found a strong niche in creating virtual product shots for use in advertising and marketing. By using modo, you can create highly realistic shots of your products, reducing the need for product photography. In this course, Dan Ablan leads us through the workflow required to create such highly realistic 3D renders in modo. Discover the optimal settings for modeling, sculpting, and rendering; learn how to model real-world packaging; work with UV maps, Photoshop textures, and other basic materials; and light the products effectively. Dan closes with an overview of rendering the final 3D images for print or preview.

Creating Simulations in MassFX and 3ds Max (with Exercise Files)

Creating Simulations in MassFX and 3ds Max (with Exercise Files)
Duration: 3h 53m | Video: AVC (.flv) 960x540 15fps | Audio: AAC 48KHz stereo | 742 Mb
Level: Intermediate | Language: English
Genre: eLearning

This course introduces basic physics simulation principles in Autodesk 3ds Max using MassFX, a system that makes it cost effective to animate rigid body objects, cloth, and particle systems. Author Brian Bradley introduces basic concepts such as gravity, drag, volume, and density, and how Newton's Laws of Motion can help you understand the interaction of objects with these unseen forces. Using the purpose built scene, Brian walks through the tools and features of the MassFX (PhysX) system, applying the principles discussed as he goes. Along the way, discover how to combine rigid bodies and constraints, mCloth fabrics, and mParticles geometry to create fairground-style effects.

C Interfaces and Implementations: Techniques for Creating Reusable Software

C Interfaces and Implementations: Techniques for Creating Reusable Software by David R. Hanson
English | Addison-Wesley Professional; 1 edition (August 30, 1996) | 544 Pages | ISBN: 0201498413 | PDF | 3 MB

Every programmer and software project manager must master the art of creating reusable software modules; they are the building blocks of large, reliable applications. Unlike some modern object-oriented languages, C provides little linguistic support or motivation for creating reusable application programming interfaces (APIs).

Genre: eLearning

On this DVD Scott introduces you to the marker-sketch-collage techniques he employs when creating unique environment paintings within Adobe Photoshop. The process starts by loosely sketching a variety of shapes with warm grey markers on vellum and mylar. After he completes and scans eight of these quick sketches, you can follow along as he overlays the sketches to create unique color palettes and compositions within Adobe Photoshop. To complete the process, Scott then paints digitally on nine of the compositions. During the execution of the quick environment paintings Scott discusses lighting strategies, composition, atmospheric and linear perspective.
